Relationships heal. The one you build in therapy has transformative potential.

Therapist Sonny Granade

To be seen, heard, and understood is foundational to a healthy sense of self. With an open heart and a curious mind, I support individuals and couples through life’s transitions, both in-person in Los Angeles and online throughout California.

Approach

The story of our growth is often a story of change — becoming a parent, shifting careers, separating from a partner or losing a loved one can make us feel unmoored and overwhelmed, stranded someplace between who we once were and who we are becoming. I work with clients to explore the unique complexities, challenges and opportunities for empowerment that lay inside these vulnerable, vital periods of transition.

I specialize in working with individuals struggling with grief and loss, childhood relational trauma and self-esteem, men navigating relationship and emotional issues, and people of all ages in the process of self-discovery or questioning purpose and identity. My work is grounded in the tenets of relational psychotherapy with an asset-based approach. This means we will be centering your strengths at every stage of our journey together  — emphasizing and reinforcing what’s working rather than dwelling too deeply on what’s not.

I offer an approachable, non-judgmental space to explore and evolve your own thought processes, relationship patterns and habitual responses. Working as collaborators and fellow travelers, we will source creative new approaches that better support your agency, resilience and wellbeing through life’s changes.
